GlycoMarine has been subjected to toxicity and teratogenic studies to pharmaceutical protocols and has been shown to be non toxic and not teratogenic. In addition the cultivation, harvesting and processing of the mussels used to produce the product are conducted to government approved and strictly monitored procedures. These comply with the regulatory standards of the USDA and US National Shellfish Sanitation Programme (NSSP).
